About Me

I was a web developer for ten years. It was technically challenging work, which I loved, but I wanted to align my creative energy with what I do on a daily basis. So I left web development to pursue 3D motion graphics using Unreal Engine and Blender.

But it was when I discovered compositing in the pipeline that I felt like I had finally found my true calling. Everything that went into creating photorealistic imagery: matching black levels, color grading, grain, defocus, camera tracking, it all hooked me from day one. And it still allows me to use my attention to technical detail in keeping an organized, well-annotated script that is modular and works from farthest to nearest camera.

Since then, I've been voraciously learning and practicing all that I can. I completed various compositing courses like Hugo's Desk, have been in a one-on-one mentorship with a 2D supervisor, and am practicing with every footage I can get my hands on. I've gotten some freelance commercial work and did VFX for a short film, but I'm really looking forward to learning and contributing to a studio pipeline.

Fun fact about me:

Long-distance hikes are my heaven. I've done the Appalachian Trail and the Camino de Santiago. Warning: Ask me about it and we'll end up chatting for hours!
