My Process

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a gorgeous logo that lends itself well to 3D design. The goal here was to create something that highlights their striking logo and then reveals a key player or statistic with some interesting 3D animation.

Using their classic pirate ship as a reference, I created this pirate-style arena with ropes using geometry nodes in Blender.

NOTE: Actual game footage is from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

For the transition animation, I kept the 3D logo consistent with the opening animation, but put it on a mesh (using a Spanish doubloon as reference) that's centered on the screen. I also used a cloth simulation with a wind force to simulate the red flag behind the logo.
